15 day old Maddex was overdue, but he eventually came and I know mom was happy when that time came! I got his newborn session in as soon as I got back from my summer Cali trip… timing worked out perfectly. 

This adorable family were the winners of my semi annual Facebook giveaway, so Maddex's entire newborn session was on me!! It makes me so happy to give back, especially to a young family like this. 

Although big sister wasn't in the mood for our posing ideas, we eventually got her in front of the camera. It's a gamble with toddlers and newborns as many of you have found out! All in all, I am so happy with this session and even more happy with the images we got with dad in uniform.

Facebook can be a wonderful thing because after starting my first semi-annual giveaway, I met an amazing mom in need that I just couldn't wait to help. She came to my home studio last week with her 21 day new son… baby Brody. He was just the tiniest little thing, but wide awake, not wanting to miss a thing. 21 days old is the oldest baby I have photographed for a typical newborn session, but overall, he impressed me quite a bit! I donated a mini newborn session (which sounds like a session I may offer in 2015 for people on a budget and/or time crunch), and we got a few great shots in there.

After this Thanksgiving week, there is so much I have to be thankful for and I know doing this for Brody's mom was the least I could do!!
