Stella {3 months} | Seattle Baby Photographer | Maple Valley, WA

Stella came in for a 3 month mini milestone session with her big sister, Natalie. I haven't seen Natalie since she was 3 months old herself. She has gotten so big and so cute!!

3 month sessions can be very tricky, as posing is near impossible, and it can be even more difficult when a little one isn't holding up their head yet. We still got adorable facial expressions from Stella. Natalie wasn't too in to taking pics, but maybe at the 6 month session, she'll have a change of heart and we can get her smiling!!

Elise {3 Months} | Seattle Baby Photographer | Maple Valley, WA

I had the pleasure of meeting 3 month old Elise for a mini milestone session last week. She was quite the cutie!!! It's a bummer I didn't get to photograph her for her newborn photos, but I am still very excited about our sessions to come!

William's 3 Month | Seattle Baby Photographer | Maple Valley, WA

Yes, William is already 3 months old!!! He seriously was just here for his newborn session! 

3 month sessions are challenging for us photographers for many reasons. As most parents know, tummy time isn't favored by many, but that's only one of a few poses you can really do at this age. Little William had the hardest time lifting that head of his, but that look he gave me during the second attempt at a belly pose was priceless. 3 month olds also are just starting to explore with their hands and arms. This little guy cracked me up the entire mini shoot because he was so interested in his clenched fist! It was an amazing sight to him! 

Although little William wasn't in the mood for smiles, I promise at his 6 month session to see some happy gums!

Clayton's 3 Month Session | Seattle Baby Photographer | Rancho Cucamonga, CA

I am so happy there was a reason for me to visit Cali because I haven't seen this little guy since he was born!! Clayton so happened to need 3 month photos taken the same time his big brother needed his 2 year photos done. Anything for my adorable nephews!!

Clayton is just growing so fast! It's hard not getting to see him every day, but FaceTime is a life saver. I hope to be able to capture more in his first year!

Owen's 4 Month Mini | Seattle Baby Photographer | Maple Valley, WA

It has been 4 months since Owen's newborn session and he was just as good this time around as he was then! It is so amazing how much these babies mature in just the matter of a few months. He is one happy guy and we got tons of expressions from him during his mini milestone session. Mom surprised me with the fact that he is already starting to sit up on his own… only 4 months old!! I can guarantee we will get some awesome shots at his 6 month session coming up. It is so nice to be able to watch this little guy grow through my lens. 

3 Month Old Deason | Seattle Baby Photographer | Maple Valley, WA

I honestly can't believe baby Deason is 3 months old already!! It feels like I just took his newborn photos. These babies need to slow down!!!

Deason was full of smiles… that is, until the camera came out!! His momma is a photographer herself, so he better get used to having lots of pictures taken over the years. I am quite happy that he wanted nothing but mommy's cuddles in the end because we got some gorgeous shots of the 2 of them. Isn't his mommy just beautiful?!

So excited to watch this little guy grow! 

Baby Kayla | Seattle Baby Photographer | Maple Valley, WA

Many photographers aren't fans of 3 month old sessions, but I don't mind the challenge. It is a little difficult finding that perfect pose with a baby who can't sit up, just beginning to lift his/her own head, and who is very squirmish; they are far too old for newborn poses, but far too young for older baby poses! But, I work with the baby's mood and likes/dislikes… I LOVE every stage in the first year and I love photographing these little ones every 3 months!

Baby Kayla came to my home studio here in Maple Valley and she was just as cute as can be! I definitely gave her a little workout during our mini milestone session… lifting that head is hard work for a 3 month old! Although we didn't get to meet in time for newborn photos, I hope to watch her grow with future sessions. Can't wait to see you at 6 months, Kayla!
